NORFOLK, Va. (WACH) - After six of the nine football schools in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) opted out of the spring football season, the conference suspended the season on Thursday afternoon. South Carolina State's season opener was set for February 20th against Norfolk State, before the Spartans opted out on Monday. The Bulldogs still intend to play this spring, the conference announced.
