I remember 1999. We needed a late td from Rod Gardner to beat them. Different teams now, but that's why we always throw out the records.

We were up 24-21 when Woody hit Gardner on down the left sideline for a TD on 4th down. It was a close game that could have gone either way until that play. I remember everyone throwing zero bars on the field at the end of the game. I hope we put this one away early on Saturday.

When Gardner caught that pass their hearts just stopped beating. The catch sucked the life out of them.

But they were very gracious in defeat. In fact we had fun throwing verbal jabs back and forth during the game.

There are some Gamecocks fans with class.

It's funny they keep saying upsets happen all bc the citadel beat them. That was NOT an upset. The best team won lol
