Heisman Award is nothing but the best QB award

In the last 23 years 21 times a QB has won the award, The other 2 were running backs. I guess these are the only players that can be game changers.

will not include anything happening there when they are actually face-to-face.
And more to the point, it will not include the player who has been the best in the second half of the season and who will also face those other guys in the CFP.

I love Trevor and wouldn't trade him for anyone, but has he been objectively better the last half of the season than Burrow? Here are the stats for the last 6 games.
Trevor Lawrence - 75.5% completions, 1638 yards (273 yards a game), 20 touchdowns, 0 interceptions (adding 220 yards on the ground and 2 touchdowns) - In those games, he played three bowl eligible teams, Boston College, Wake, UVA. Only UVA is ranked and has the highest ranked defense at #40.
Joe Burrow - 76.4% completions, 2231 yards (372 yards a game), 19 touchdowns, 2 interceptions (adding 195 yards on the ground and 1 touchdown) - In those games, he played four bowl eligible teams, but those teams include Auburn, Alabama, A&M, and Georgia. All four are top 25 defenses statistically.
I'd take Trevor over Burrow, because I think he has some intangibles. But Burrow has been more accurate and had 100 more yards a game against significantly better teams in the second half of the season. I don't know how much is him and how much is the scheme, but what he's done has been pretty incredible. I think Burrow did earn the Heisman this year (at least if we treat it like the offensive award it is, since I think Chase Young and Simmons have been incredible). Trevor probably did earn an invite to New York though, certainly more than Jalen Hurts.
I'm more angry about Etienne not winning the Doak (not even a finalist), despite being clearly the best back in the country.

Heisman no longer has the luster it used to.Too many voters who have no clue as to why they are voting a certain way.Candidates who deserves consideration are never considered.
