Good vs Resume - tired of the talking heads.

Nov 2, 2019, 3:51 PM

I am getting tired of the “debate” about resume.

There is no such thing as a “good” loss. That is a SEC created piece of BS.

You pick the best 4 teams. If there is a tie. - fine - then resume matters.

I don’t care if Clemson plays poorly ranked teams. It does not matter. The goal is to win the games.

Then, compare the teams.
Would Clemson be dogs to anyone?
I like my chances against the top several.

Nobody has an offense, defense combination that we have. And, getting better on offense.

I respect Ohio state. Probably have them as best I have watched.
LSU - respect - but some of that is built on the theory that Texas was good.
Bama - respect offense - defense lacking.
Penn state - not ready to put them into the best 4.

Then, again, BS on the “good loss” theory. So, nobody that has lost should be in - unless there are only 3 undefeated teams. (Which is what will happen). Then, and only then, should resume matter.

I would currently take Oregon or OK over a one loss Bama or LSU.

JMO anyway.

Why is it that wins count less than losses? Having top 10 wins on your resume and a loss to a top 10 is not worse than being undefeated against unranked teams IMHO.
