Furman rewind - observations

1. Defense is as advertised. ‘Nuff said.

2. Huegel is back. That’s HUGE for us.

3. QB’s both had their ups and downs. Once TL settled in he looked SHARP. He’s going to be special here. Kelly Bryant is who he is... I don’t see a lot of change from last year. Maybe a little better passing downfield. His first TD pass was on the money. But he’s still inconsistent. An inconsistent senior makes you scratch your head.

4. Our OL needs a LOT of work. The one area where talent/player development is lacking. If the OL doesn’t improve it will cost us this season, just as it did last season.

5. We have some PHENOMENAL young players on both sides of the ball. The future looks bright indeed.

If the O-line doesn’t improve vastly and quickly, we lose 2-3 games. Also, secondary is a real concern as well. This team played to the level of the competition so, I hope we play better vs. Texas A&M.
