DJ isn’t going to start as many games

as DW and TL thus hindering him to break all time records in certain categories. However, I think he crushes single game records and seasonal records the next two years. Passing yds per game and season, Avg passing yds per game and season, passing TD’s per game and season, points per game and season are all potential records.
A lot will have to do with playing, also.
Go Tigers!

I personally think DJ also has the best single group of wide receivers of any of the more recent QB's. TL and DW usually only had one big time receiver and a Renfrow/Rodgers. A healthy Ngata, Ladson, and Ross + the depth of EJ, Ajou, Spector, and the high level recruits we are bringing in. Could be crazy. Also lets not forget, he played in high school with Beaux Collins. Built in chemistry.

Technically yes, but I was really only referring to DW and TL. Those two guys won a ton of games and a Natty each. Wasn't really including Boyd

You can also add brown to that list, not eye popping numbers but had a pretty decent 6-7 year nfl career

* Tee Higgins * Justyn Ross * Hunter Renfrow * Amari Rodgers
No Clemson QB since Tajh Boyd has had a better group of WRs and overall offensive talent (adding Travis Etienne and at RB to the equation).

He has the ability and is poised to put two more National Championship trophies in the case. And he should get drafted top ten and sign a Multimillion $$ NFL contract.

Maybe, but his competition is against DW4... and Tajh - not TL. Tajh holds a lot of records.
He already ranked #3 for single game passing yards.

If he breaks the record for passing yards and/or passing TDs in a season then either our defense or running game or both will be absolutely terrible.
Tajh literally never came off the field and had to score 45+ to win most games.
Deshaun's defense wasn't as bad as when Tajh played but it was nothing like what we should have now either.
If we have to return to a QB putting up those kind of numbers in a season, there are going to be some heads exploding on TNET.

I think DJ will be great but let's wait on the receivers

We don't have a single receiver on the team that has done much of anything besides Justyn and he's coming off a major injury. The situation at RB is even more questionable.
Defense will carry the team in 2021 while the offense figures things out.

I think DJ will make those WRs look really good while they learn on the job. First challenge is obviously UGA, but they've got issues of their own to work out. I like our chances... a lot.

Boyd played more games than TL and DW.
TL didn’t start till game 5 as a freshman and this year he only played 8 regular season games because he missed 2 with Covid and FSU tapped out. Not to mention the fact that he has only played a complete game about maybe 20% of the time.
DW missed multiple games his freshman year with injuries.
So they have all played different numbers of games. Different degrees of competition. Different talent around them, etc..
All 3 have had a huge advantage just like Dabo because Danny Ford only had an 11 game season and bowl game. Now we play 12 games just in the regular season with 7 at home and at least 4 absolute cupcakes.
We were 10-2 this year. That’s 12 games. That is all Ford ever got and the BS probation and no instant replay kept Ford from winning 10 games in 82 and 83.
Dabo is the best in Clemson history but he has also had some advantages like more games every year and a weaker ACC.
So it’s a silly debate which is why comparing players and coaches from different eras is impossible because the game and conditions are always changing.
If Saban isn’t at Bama, Dabo quite possibly has 5 championships, but Saban is at Bama. So it’s a moot argument like all the rest.
