during a hard freeze that lasted for a few days it iced over enough that people were ice skating on it.

I've seen people ice skating in the shallow areas as well

Funniest thing I saw was my buddy running his lightning fast RC boat in it. Hilarious.

yep, me and a roommate were walking around it after some random beer drinking event. He was on the inside track and I couldn't help myself and pushed him in. I took off running and he managed to get out and with inspired speed chase me down. he pulled off both my shoes and went back to the pond and chucked them way out. So I went for a swim. Refreshing.

when it was still hot in the evening and walking back to Thornhill after playing tennis over by Riggs/Fike, I would take a short swim to cool off. in the dark it's kind of freaky when you unexpectedly touch one of those pipes under the water.

Got thrown in on my 19th birthday. Also threw a few people in on their birthdays.
I also remember someone driving a dozer into it.
