Corona bro’s

Aug 16, 2020, 9:50 AM

Why is college football under attack?

Why can the nba, mlb and nfl play with no pushback? They bowed down to the radical left. Anti anthem etc....

College football? The big10 and pac12 are in the north and west... which btw are typically democratic states, cancelled. But the south said no? Why? Republicans states.

So corona bro’s are mad... I think mainly because they know southern and midwestern teams won’t bow down to the radical left of the anti American movement.

I’m sorry if this rattled you liberals.... but it’s true.

Interesting theory..

Aug 16, 2020, 9:58 AM

but I’m gonna have to go back into my bunker (until election day) to think this over.

Members only, I am not liberal nor rattled but amused by your ridiculous rant and ignorance. The South and "Midwestern teams don't bow down to liberal left" I think Mi, Wisconsin. Iowa, Minn., ohio etc are in the mid west. Maybe less posting and more understanding of America geography. I suspect there is more to come on football play and you will not like. Clemson will do a great job but what about others? Its not as simple as play or not play and that is very difficult for extreme right wing minds.

LOFL - "extremist right wing mind"

Aug 16, 2020, 11:49 AM

So he's "Extremist" if he says MI, OH, MN, and WI are "blue states"? And wasn't he simply taking into account that NE and IO both indicated they wanted to play instead of caving into their conference?

But let's articulate what it takes to describe an "extremist" from the left wing:

- partial birth abortion,
- gun control,
- Medicare for all,
- universal income,
- race-based reparations,
- reduce drug laws,
- amnesty for illegal aliens,
- open borders,
- Wash DC as a State,
- a corrupt FBI,
- a corrupt and politically biased Federal Court system,
etc. etc. etc. and that's not even the half of it.

I don't know about you, but I see just a little more "crazy" in the left wing side than your view of the right wing - just a little more harm being done.

Do you people even develop any opinions of your own anymore? Or do you simply regurgitate what spittle Don Lemon puts out?

I gotta say i like a lot of what you say and your above list of the Lefties beliefs was right on target even though short.

And Still Can’t believe they believe (Lefties & Dems) that unborn Babies shouldn't have same & equal rights as their carriers (Mother)..

And that open borders are OK while Canada, Germany, GB, France and most countries stop your assse at their entry and ask for your passport or identity papers..and don’t say willy-nilly come on in and we’ll pay for your medicare & give you a monthly social security check too.

Where does this type of crazy thinking come from?

Wait..I think I know!

States allowing High School Ball

Aug 16, 2020, 8:23 PM

Bill et al ... here's what Outkick the Coverage reports ... take whatever you want from it:

Look at the data on who is playing high school football this fall and who isn’t.

States with Republican governors are playing football this fall. States with Democratic governors are, generally speaking, not playing football this fall.

Check it out.

States with Republican governors playing high school football this fall:

Georgia
Florida
Alabama
Arkansas
Tennessee
South Carolina
Mississippi
Missouri
Oklahoma
Texas
West Virginia
Indiana
Iowa
Ohio
Nebraska
Utah
Arizona
Wyoming
Idaho
North Dakota
South Dakota
New Hampshire
Massachusetts
Vermont
Alaska

States with Democratic governors playing high school football this fall:

Kentucky
Wisconsin
Maine
Rhode Island
Montana
Connecticut
Kansas
Louisiana (set to start in October)

States with a Republican governor not playing high school football this fall:

Maryland

States with Democratic governors not playing high school football this fall:

Pennsylvania (The battle is ongoing with the governor recommending no fall football)
Michigan
Virginia
Minnesota
North Carolina
Nevada
Illinois
California
Oregon
Colorado
Washington
Hawaii
Nevada
New Mexico
Delaware

Still to be determined with Democratic governors:

New York
New Jersey

So look at the numbers. If you live in a state with a Republican governor there is a 25 out of 26 chance your state will be playing high school football this fall. But if you live in a state with a Democratic governor there’s a 15 out of 22 chance (with two states still undecided) that you won’t be playing this fall.

Aug 16, 2020, 8:16 PM

it was envisioned as a Capitalist, Federalist Democracy.

It was not intended to be Marxist, Socialist, Communist, a Kingdom, or even a true Democracy. You were born to this apparently - have some #### respect for all those before you who literally built the greatest access to individual freedom in the world.

I am GD sorry that you people want to argue with the Founding Fathers because you think you're smarter than Thomas Jefferson and more benevolent than George Washington and more ingenious than Ben Franklin.

You're a bunch of arrogant ###### is all. If you want Government Healthcare so Bad, then by God go to one of those other 1st world countries and take the lot of those that you feel sorry for with you!

Re: Corona bro’s

Aug 16, 2020, 12:56 PM

My thoughts about concussions as well TigerFanX2000. As a matter of fact, I have been looking into concussions and Myocarditis data to post on TNet as to why concussion and CTE, based on facts, has been accepted although known medically concerning.

Then every year Myocarditis results in the death of athletes and others and NOW it is a problem so sports must be cancelled although there is not enough data to determine if COVID-19 causes any more resulting deaths or not? I'm not saying that there are no heart problems caused by COVID-19 but are these new diagnoses real or just a result of now increased testing looking for the condition.

Does anyone know for sure that the people diagnosed with Myocarditis did not have the condition resulting from a previous cold, flu or other viral infection? I suspect the answer is unkown.

Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today... Aha-ah...

Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace... You...

I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Re: Corona bro’s

Aug 16, 2020, 1:13 PM

What does the NBA, MLB, and NFL all have in common that college football doesn't?
For one most of these guy's are over 21.College football players are under 21,and are student
athletes first. They can opt out to play, but if they are not a scholarship player, what do they stand to lose by playing?
Secondly the guys in the Majors get paid to play. They can opt out,but do they get a check if they don't.This is their lively hood.
So ask yourself what would you do if you were an 18 or 19 year old walk on?
So it has nothing to do with democratic states,or Liberal,or conservatives.
And I am a conservative despite my username.
Oh,and I will add one more thing.Fans don't have to attend games, students have to attend classes,if they even have them this fall.
Comparing the pros to college is like comparing apples to oranges.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Corona bro’s

Aug 16, 2020, 1:15 PM

every job carries risks, professional athletes get paid well to take well informed risks with the virus. College athletes are being expected to put their own health at risk to generate billions that they will never see.

that is the only difference I see here

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They can opt out and still get paid and not lose eligibility

Aug 16, 2020, 2:01 PM

they get paid quite well. $50,000 per year plus to play at Clemson, more at other schools. There are college graduates that don't make $50,000 per year.

Liberals think that other people are too stupid to make their own decisions and therefor should have that decision taken away from them.

Why can the nba, mlb and nfl play with no pushback?

That one is easy. They're professional athletes. They are paid. They do it for a living. They're not partying college students. And lastly, they can operate in a bubble college athletes can't operate in because they're student-athletes. Note student comes first. That's for a reason.

As for the other point, football just isn't as big up north. Everyone in Boston knows who ther Patriots are playing. The Red Sox too. Bruins, yep. No one knows who BC is playing in football. They couldn't give two #####.

NHL is being played though. That's big for them. But, again, they're professional athletes and are in a bubble.
