Regarding players not participating.

Don’t have an issue. Can’t “experts” and analysts review game film?

Are they under an agreement if they get hurt they will be covered?

Not to get litigious here but what’s in the combine that isn’t in game film?

I'm forced to wonder 2 things. How well does "exact speed" equate to football speed? Certain players don't look as fast with pads on, and I am sure that there is a difference between players in how they handle the difference between running in pads and cleats compared to shorts and track shoes. It is also going to be a difference between running tired in a game versus running fresh at a combine.

I also wonder if the combine has taken on the characteristics of the SAT. The importance of the results has caused young people to study/train for both. Before the preparation for these "tests", I believe that you could get a clearer picture from the results. There are better test takers regardless of the tests. It doesn't always equate to ability in the classroom and I seriously doubt to the field, as well.

I'm thinking its falling off in importance given all the kids not wanting to do certain parts now. This seems to have started in the last few years

measureables, but never pan out in actual game situations? Flip that, and how many guys are clearly good football players, performing and putting up numbers on the field, yet don't "combine" well?
