can anyone tell me about the housing

in this photo?

pretty sure i lived in one of these when i was here as a baby. (1959-60) my dad was a visiting prof. my mom told me what we lived 'pretty much on campus' and close to the Clemson House. but my wife and i have been unable to figure out where. {my mom visited about 7 years ago, but she couldn't locate the housing...} my better half came across this shot today and i'm thinking this had to be where we were.

anyone know when these were torn down? or how long they existed?

I believe the street is Daniel Drive. It ran behind the Clemson House. Those apartments were built in the mid-1950's. This is the area now occupied by Douthit (sp?) Hills.

There was also a row of brick duplexes just before you got to the Clemson House on the same side of the street. Mostly grad student families were living there. Those of us who lived in the prefabs during the 60s called them the rich students.

Yes, The previous post is correct regarding the location behind Clemson House. You would not recognize this area now with the new housing .

I'm an '84 Alum and The Clemson House was a girl's dorm

from what I can remember in my days, but those homes were not there.

I do recall The Clemson House had an excellent barber, thin and balding, who cut my hair back in the day. No doubt when The Clemson House was torn down 5-6 years ago to build up the new Business School section of campus -- identifying the location of those old homes became pretty challenging.

Married housing...torn down between ? 2006 and 2008 ?

Daniel Drive behind C-House, not sure if these are the same buildings, but there were definitely married housing units there in 88-92 when I left. I lived in C-House.

Google Earth suggests they were torn down between 2006 and 2008 as part of the big changes leading to Douthit Hills and the new Business school.
