Anybody follow the Deacons

Jan 2, 2020, 12:36 AM

enough to state an opinion on their QB leaving? So far I’ve got:

A) He believes he has shown enough talent that major P5 schools will come calling or has already been contacted by said school(s).

B) Wants to go to the NFL and believes WF is not the way.

C) Something internal with the coaches or admin has him running for the door.

Ah, yes. Another simpleton and their traditional “coot” response. How stereotypical.

It’s a team we play every year in our same division. Quite relevant if you ask me.

Deac perspective here. Agreed for the most part that he was thinking about NFL but his grade came back low. Believe he wants to build his passing game like Russell Wilson so expecting a program like Oregon to swoop in. No animosity though with staff and fans are mostly surprised but understand his decision.

It seemed to me he had quite a good year showing off his passing game with Surratt before his injury. Assuming Surratt returns for another season, I would assume he might have the same or better results. It’s nice being able to throw to a big, long armed receiver. I don’t follow WF closely so it surprised me to hear their starting star QB would be willing to risk transferring to an unknown school.

Oregon is pretty much a done deal.

This is a win/win that gives the Ducks a chance to run the table next year and raises Newman's profile.

Ohio State goes to Autzen in September. Gonna be a good one!

I wonder when was the last time OSU played a game on the west coast that wasn't the Rose Bowl.

A and/or B, but for sure NOT C.
