Question about sitting out bowl games

Dec 29, 2017, 5:47 PM

If players are sitting out bowl games to not risk injury, then why don’t they just sit out other games during the season when their team is out of championship contention?

I totally disagree with Walt today. He adamant saying players would start sitting out the CFP. I can’t envisioning a situation where that happens.

I feel the same way. I also feel that it is wrong for players that are skipping their bowl to attend the bowl and "cheer" on their team. You aren't a team player if you skip your bowl!

Agree totally! If you ar sitting out the bowl game, you are not going to be on the sideline "encouraging" your FORMER teammates. I can't imagine a coach letting that happen. If you don't want to play, fine, just enjoy arching the game from your couch at home.

They ought to yank their scholarship money.

Definitely not when cfp on the line

But I can somewhat understand for a upper first round pick to move on. Coaches do it all the time, not finish bowl games with their teams when get a new job, a top 15 pick is sure to "get a new job" and has enough tape to have nothin to prove or risk injury to a very high bonus

That's fine ...... Moving on is not attending all of the bowl functions and getting to stand on the sideline like you are part of the team.
