Here are my thoughts on the entire RN saga as of late...
First of all, I'm not sure why his mother dis-likes Clemson so much. Especially without even visiting here and giving Clemson a chance in the 1st place. She appears very anti-Clemson. It seems that she'd want to look at all the available options, especially the ones that her own son is interested in. After all, this is his choice, where he'll play, live, and go to school for the next 3-4 years. I understand that she prefers her 2 sons to play together at Ole Miss, but really? Ole Miss? The only reason Robert's brother, Denzell, ended up at Ole Miss is bc he was rated the number 98 Safety in the nation.
Denzell didn't have the wealth of opportunity and choices that RN has. My honest opinion, is RN will never make any major noise in Ole Miss outside of leading the team in stats. Ole Miss is a border-line bowl eligible team every year at best. I just don't see the potential in going to Ole Miss, while he can win championships at Clemson, we're going places! Top-notch facilities, top notch athletes to play alongside you, top notch coaches, ACC Championships, BCS bowls, and next year look out bc we're in the national title picture in my opinion. It blows my mind that his mom does not understand this... Yes I'm a little biased, but Clemson is by far a better opportunity than Ole Miss. Anyone in the nation would agree!
While I don't understand the full intensity of being the parent of a highly recruited high school fb player, I still don't think she should act out the way she has in front of the media. Some of her comments have been downright rude. At any rate, we can easily land another stud DE, so he needs to get his thoughts together. We produce NFL DE's like it's our job at Clemson. I'm sure another player out there is looking at his de-commitment as their gain.
In the end, I still think we'll land RN bc of his Grayson teammates already coming to Clemson, etc.
