I just can't understand how you people think he's saying the team or our season is pathetic. He's simply saying blowing a nine run lead, or the situation is pathetic, which is true. It's baseball, it happens, but that doesn't make it any less $hitty.

The frustration of watching our team lose a huge lead. Pathetic just isn't the right term. It's not like they quit trying. I'm sure we didn't intend to pop up a bunt attempt. Or leave all those runners on base. Sometimes a change in momentum is hard to overcome. Execution was lacking in the later innings but ultimately they stepped up.
