Painting Himself Into a Corner...

Jun 4, 2013, 10:13 AM

I don't think this year's collapse is completely JL's fault as many on here do but with his comments about being better next year he's starting to paint himself into a corner.

He won't have the legitimate reason or excuse of having an inexperienced team like this year so if we have another poor/disappointing year he may well run out of time.

the way we played and finished I dont think being better is a forgone conclusion. I'm not sure specifically what we are missing but there is something. Never hold a lead. Play 7-8 good innings and then unravel.

inevitable. He knows the youth excuse won't fly next year, so he's promising improvement. He knows he has to deliver or face the consequences. But then, isn't that pretty much every coach of every sport who hasn't won a championship in the last couple years?

The definition of awesome!

Yeah, it seems like the game is passing him by......

He used to be a great recruiter and was right in the middle of things nationally - seemed to know what was going on and how to connect with and motivate his players.

Now he seems to be looking in from the outside more and more.

Oh yeah he's just forgot everything about how to coach.

Have you bothered to check recruiting lately?

If we get that stud from Yonkers..

or Poughkeepsie, we'll be alright. The players in the South are not as tough as the New England boys.

the players over the years act like they aren't having any fun playing baseball. They are to up tight.

Looked like they were having a grand ole time when they won 17 out of 20 or something like that.

I hope they don't have fun losing
