Out of the fire, a Phoenix may have arisen

Oct 2, 2018, 2:14 PM

What you saw Saturday should put fear into everybody on the upcoming schedule and beyond. This should also be a total introspective moment for every member of the team. I don't think that this team totally understood the focus it takes to truly be great. Sometimes it takes a desperate situation in order to harness this focus and passion for the guy next to you (in this case - Chase) and just let go of everything in order to truly give it all you've got. If the players go back, especially the offensive line, and find and channel this feeling into their future games, we may be looking at something special this year. The evidence for this can be found in comments that Renfrow made this week when he said that he has never been so tired after a game. I think that a number of players found something that they didn't realize they had - the greatness that comes when you let go of all your inhibitions, trust yourself and your teammates and play with total focus. This is going to be fun to watch.

Total focus with the intentions of spending every ounce of strength in your body by the end of the game. I bet they all slept like a full baby Saturday night, and especially after that energy depletion thing they were doing in the locker room that someone I think had called it dancing. It may have been dancing, it just wasn't a dance that I recognize or ever seen before!!!! :)

We used to call that "whooping it up".
