I have been skunked the last 4 times I have been fishing, and you insist on rubbing it in on a weekly basis with your constant pigs of trophy sized bass.
Anyway, site fished under a spot light tonight, enticed, and hooked a 2 foot snook on 4 lb line and an ultralight crappie rod., wrapped himself 2x around a piling and I landed him. oh, and caught him with a dead shiner. And yes, I set out to catch a snook on 4lb line.
suck it

Odd that a leftist like me gets invited into his wealthy uber right wing's boss' home for dinner and a night of fishing off his dock, whose blessing I have to harvest their young daughter from their home, and politics don't come up juance.

And I will admit, I have been catching peckerheads lately,
May 9, 2020, 8:51 AM
|
|
some of them , legitimate peckerheads. You just are not supposed to have nights in the 30's and 40's in May. Not only are we having cold weather, it is raining and the lake level is up 2 feet one day and down 2 feet the next. The fish don't know whether to go to the bank or run out to the points. Some were still spawning with the full moon, until the bottom dropped out the last day or two....On top of that, Mother's Day is going to add another element to fishing.........

May 9, 2020, 12:38 PM

get a 7'4" medium heavy rod with a VERY FAST tip, load it with 30 Lb. braid, get a pocket full of Kermie Frogs and a couple of buzz baits, and then go wade fish the local swamps. I am betting you would run into something big doing that....
Good luck,
Spud

tried the buzzbaits a few weeks ago and nothing. not even a single strike.
lol, I aint afraid of gators. I used to live in said swamps and a had more than my share of 6+ footers hiss and turn tail on me. unless they mistake you for food, gators are pretty harmless.. They are dumb creatures though, tread lightly, especially if you braid your hair.
