Ohio st - Wisconsin refs got it right - acc did not

Oct 15, 2016, 8:44 PM

When fumble - if player is out of bounds and touches the ball that is in bounds - then it goes back to the last team that had possession.
In our game - Williams clearly touched the ball while out of bounds. It should have been Clemson ball right there. And we were going in for a score.
Refs pooched it.

They missed the catch by Cain as well

replay was clear and still did not correct the call.

Mike never touched out of bounds. It was similar to if a player lands on another with the ball inbounds he is not down.

Although it is my understanding that if you touch any part of out of bounds whether or not you are officially down then you are considered out if bounds

Did he? I did not see MW touch the ball on replay. But I could be wrong

I didn't think Williams had touched out when he

made contact with the ball. I was looking for it, but maybe I missed it. You are correct- the Big 10 got the call right.

Not sure the ACC missed it.

landing on a player that is out of bounds does not make you out. Remember when Scott stepped on the hand of a coot?

yep..great play.....Scott stepped on that Chicken!!!***

The ruling was that the guy who caused the fumble and

punched it loose did not step out. There was some controversy on who caused the fumble.

You're focused on that?

Yes, I thought they missed the call too, but to me, there's really a disturbing trend of this team turning the ball over lately.

I think that's the bigger picture that our coaches and players better focus on if we seriously want to make a run at another ACC and national title.

Last year, the special team had a troubling trend, and it bit us in the ### in the national title game.

I'm sure the coaches and the Tigers don't really care about our opinions, but I want them to really look at this rash of turnovers we've been having and fix it.

I saw him on top of an NC State player who was out of bounds, but never saw him make contact with the ground out of bounds.
