head-to-head results. Both teams have similar records(12-1 vs 13-1) and it rates NDs schedule as tougher which puts them ahead.

Of course the fact that ND schedule is rated higher brings up an issue I've always had with computer SoS rating and that's that they put too much emphasis on your bad opponents and not enough on the really, really good ones.

Think about it, ND had to play the best team in college football while Alabama had to play lowly ND. Therefore, ND had the tougher schedule and is number one team. Don't you follow...

So, is there a chance that a one loss UGA team leapfrogs a no loss Clemson team that gave UGA its one loss???? In the BCS, anything is possible.
