Observations from the Horseshoe

Penn State is not a top ten team. They have no offensive identity. Defensively they have not schemed to take away Ohio State's strength.
Ohio State is a running team period. Justin Fields is running back who throws short passes. He is OK on the intermediate throws. Deep throws, no, late and under throws the deep ball.
Stack the box, spy Fields. Dare them to beat you deep. We match up well with them I believe.

Yep, with our strength on the back 7. I could easily see another 0310.

OSU is just not that good. Having said that I really hope they remain the #2 team.

Seems to me a lot of chit talk about them on here today. I’m not watching the game, but let me just point out, if this were the case with Clemson, penn state would be a “top ten team” and it would only be 14-0 at half because we were “playing backups” and “not showing our playbook”.
Tnet is a wonderful place, but c’mon guys, get real. Penn state is not a playoff team, but they’re better than anyone Clemson has played this year.
One game at a time. Go tigers!

Might want to watch them play a game or two.

Prior to today they gave up 58 in their last two outings. Had close calls against Iowa, Michigan and oh yeah, Pitt. Are they better than TAMU? Maybe, but my argument remains. They don't have an offensive identity. Yes, their tight end is an NFL guy. Defensively, they don't scheme well. They did not against Minnesota and they are not against OSU.

I have to agree. Guys OSU is elite period. This game is not even close outside of the fact they fumbled the ball 3 times. Let’s not discount this win for them. They are scary good and it is a 50/50 game who would win if the Tigers played them.
We have a great team but both LSU and OSU would be very tough outs. LSU less so because their defense has not been great.
I will tell you what. If we play OSU, we better figure out a way to try to contain Young. Otherwise it will be a long day for the offense. Maybe we can ask Vic to come back so our tackles can practice against his get off.??

Agree they are first and foremost a run team. But Simmons on Fields, plan man and stack the box.
That being said, I don't like how over confident this board is. tOSU is an elite team. They have a great defense and will be the toughest game for us. It'll be a great matchup and I hope we get them in the natty.
But I don't think we run away with it. I think it'll be 28-24 or something like that

That sounds EXACTLY like...

what a lot of people were saying about THE osu three years ago.
The B10 is going to have to show me they can beat someone outside the B10; until then...
in other news, Epstein didn’t kill himself.

Don't know what ZerOhio st team you are watching but I don't see them giving us a game. Eye test says we are better period.

C'mon dude. They'll give us a game. Let's not act like our s*** don't stink. They're good.
Will we still win? Yes. But OSU had no reason to press on offense. They played ball control all day because PSU offense was terrible.

All I could hear is that Alabama has a new man at the helm and he is clearly capable of taking them into the playoffs. bamabamabamabamabama.....
Heard he is single handedly dismantling a capable Western Carolina Football Team!

t's apparent than the CFP committee LOVES Penn State.
The last time Clemson had a bi-week Penn State was picked ahead of Clemson and Clemson fell out of the top 4 and Penn State took their place. Penn State has 5 1/2 minutes to score and beat Ohio State.
