Tucker Israel showing Dabo some love on Instagram

Back when Kelly Bryant transferred, I know a handful of people were upset at Tucker b/c he joked on social media about all the quarterbacks that were transferring from Clemson at the time. Some even wondered if there was any bad blood between him and the program. I found this comment he left on a recent Espn Instagram clip of Dabo sliding down our slide, (hyped for spring ball) and figured I’d share!

Attached is the Instagram video and a screenshot of his comment, among others.

The Rudy clip with all the other players turning in their jerseys was pretty spot on and kind of hilarious.

Everyone is so uptight these days and immediately took it as a shot at Clemson/Dabo.

The Rudy post suggested that the whole team would quit to follow Kelly Bryant. Actually the team rallied after the distraction, supported Trevor and the decision to start him, and then went on to win the National Championship.

Lawrence wasn’t given the starting job! He had to go earn it during practice. His teammmates saw that and rallied behind him. He clearly had the respect of his teammates. So not a Rudy situation at all.

Agreed. I think MOST of the planet knew TL16 was far better at QB than KB2 would ever be, and Dabo had to allow everything to play out. I think he did that because he cared for KB2 and tried to give him every opportunity to prove him wrong. A blind person could tell the difference between the two. Not sure why there was ever any conversations about Dabo's decision to go with TL16 as the starter in game 5.
