Play calling against Notre dame

Well try throwing a little more on 1st down. Yes we need to run the football and not be one dimensional. But most the 1st down calls yesterday was a run play which resulted in 2 and 8 or 2nd and 7. I hope we pass a little more on 1st down even if it’s just a little swing pass to Rogers in the flats to pick up a few yards. Or something down the middle of the field to a tight end. I’m hoping Elliot has a lot of Trust in DJ after yesterday and opens up the play book a little more against Notre Dame. We can’t be vanilla or predictable.

yup, the 2nd & 8 was glaring all day long. Luckily DJ would throw a laser to the sticks the next play. But yeah, ND will see that on the tape, have to mix it up

we literally had about 3 or 4 plays we ran most of the night, with the zone read sitting in Elliots back pocket. It appears we only had 1 day to get DJU ready with first team reps, another week should do wonders.

Tackles. ETN and DJ running that pitch option seemed to always be good for 5. Also LJD cannot ever be run on 1st down.

LJD should not be the second string RB, Kobe Pace would have done a much better job. LJD is just too timid to run up the middle on any down.
And yes, I trust our coaches too.
