I really don’t like how you are generalizing this for my entire fan base. My fan base does not “throw water bottles”. That happened from the student section. What else do you expect when you have a couple thousand 18-22 year old kids drunk off their ##### from a long day of tailgating and partying and their team is getting their @$$ beat..... all of these negative actions that occur generally are from the rowdy students and this website takes them and runs with them as my entire fanbase.

right? The student fanbase acting like a bunch of toddlers not getting their way is how the world is going to view the University and everyone associated with it. You don't see other schools who get their ### kicked doing the same shenanigans except maybe NCST

Surely they grew up watching the older fans and their behaviors and decided that they fit right in with the crowd. I hope my grandchildren learn from what they see at Clemson games (from the home crowd) and want to become students there because they want to be the same way.

The idea that Tigernet posters generalize the USCe fanbase merely because of drunk student's unruly behavior is not a reflection upon Clemson supporters, but a clear assessment of how GC fans acted toward their rival when getting beaten badly. During post-graduate study over thirty years ago I attended USCe and sat with former students of multiple schools to "cheer" for the chickens. We did not act like students today no matter the opponent. Perhaps the one exception was the Clemson game where I dressed appropriately and cheered accordingly, but I still behaved. Current fan behavior at South Carolina has gotten so out of hand that I, as well as many other fans, will not attend a game at WBS!
If other "Carolina" fans do not want to be labeled then I suggest they not put up with the crap from their fellow chicken fans who act with no sense of how their university is viewed nationally. If a majority of USCe fans would no longer tolerate out of bounds behavior and plainly say so I suspect their reputation might improve over time. As long as fans allow others to behave badly without respect to those around them then what should they expect?
Clemson is recognized nationally as being among the most gracious and polite on game day for fans and visitors alike. We want to maintain that excellent reputation overall.
