Good morning everybody. How was your weekend?

Mar 29, 2021, 7:46 AM

Friday night, nothing of note, quick CFA supper and some horror movies.

Saturday up early to go help clean up the wood shop with the woodworking guild. Really wasn't that hard but I was tired the rest of the day. Watched Clemson baseball, then off to watch some minor league pro rasslin. This is the height of culture lemme tell ya.

Sunday, went to this place called Five Forks Brewing, it was pretty good, got a lil drunk then we went to a friends place for a fire. I' surprised I'm up and running today.

minor league pro rasslin is fun

hit Carolina Bauernhaus, Southernside, and Liability in a row

pretzel at Southernside was good

Nachos at Moe's BBQ was huge and good, smoked wings were also tasty

Shot #2 yesterday, feeling rather crappy today

Mar 29, 2021, 7:50 AM

and a kid is home with me because "close-contact" at school. If he ends up with COVID, we cannot go on vacation with Mom next week so we are slightly sweating this out.

Otherwise it was fine, dodging rain while getting some exercise in. Cut the yard and half my mom's so my allergies went haywire. Not sure if all the crappy feeling today is COVID vaccine or Allergies or both.

Saturday: Facebook clinic that morning. Lazy day the rest of the day

Sunday: Got up, headed to the beach with the kids. Thought that since we were only out there a couple of hours, I didn't need sunscreen. I was wrong. I am HURTING. Got home, went to in-law's house to work on that contract for the buying of the other house. Ended up saving money. Notbad.gif

Lots of basketball watching, also watched a Pele documentary, had some decent food, cleaned the house, went on a short run, went to the gym on a new membership and made it all of maybe 15-20 minutes there, and that's all. I didn't accomplish much.

Finished a buncha yard work and have the new fenced garden ready to plant; enjoyed Paella, bone-in ribeyes with fine wines and some derby pie/ice cream to please my gut.
Did not storm too badly here, everything blooming and greening up, READY FOR SPRING!

Mar 29, 2021, 8:01 AM

Friday, took the day off and did very little in the way of anything productive. Made bacon, spinach and pimento cheese quesadillas and drank beers Friday night. I do remember watching TV but can't remember what we watched.

Saturday, spent the morning letting the pup run around the lake. Walked her back to the house soaking wet and let her dry in the sun while I grabbed some lunch. Headed over to set up and do a sound check for our party gig in the afternoon. Back home to clean up and then off to our Supper Club. Did a 45 minute set for all our crew, the off to Red Bowl for dinner, then back to do another hour and a half set. Went pretty good...small crowd of all our close RH friends but it was great to actually play in front of people for a change. Rain held off so we could play from the porch of the studio and pandemic protocols could be (mostly) observed.

Sunday, slept really late, drank a LOT of coffee, and finally got the energy to go visit RH Mom and make a grocery run. Evening stroll with the pup to beat the rain that never actually came but from the looks of the sky it missed a great opportunity. Mrs. made chicken stew out of the homemade chicken stock she cooked up last week. Cleaned up kitchen and watched Walking/Talking Dead and crashed.

18.99/19 Covids. Wasn't a perfect weekend, but it was pretty close.

Mar 29, 2021, 8:17 AM

Friday - bring home Chinese take-out...to bed early.

Saturday - traditional pre-game breakfast with daughter-of. Mom-of came up from Aiken to come to our Upward Championship game. Had lunch at The Sweetery. Team won the Championship. Didn't play our best and only had 4 pt lead at half-time, but we pulled away in the 2nd half and won by a good margin after I gave a stirring half-time speech reminiscent of Coach Yoast.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0SgBOREvb8&ab_channel=tanels02

Daughter-of played really well. Kids were very excited and we had a little post-game party. One of the kid's parents own Mamma Penn's and offered for us to have a banquet there later, which is cool. Wife and I hit Maki for dinner and I hit the hay early.

Sunday...we attended Church in-person for the first time since the 'rona hit last year. Felt good and was much needed. Took son-of to the fair set-up in the Anderson Mall parking lot. It was what you would expect.

Mar 29, 2021, 8:21 AM

Friday - Picked up the wife's explorer from the dealership. I Jewed them DOWN to a mere $4800. It's funny, that credit card swipe machine works just as fast on that amount of money as it does buying a pack of juicy fruit. The dealership encouraged me to contact Ford Corporate to inquire about getting them to share in the bill. Apparently this is a known issue and at 100200 miles, seems crazy to me (and others). Went out to dinner for my cousin's b-day. Got trashed. Went home and knocked the bottom off of the old lady. Slept like a baby.

Woke up Saturday morning and cleaned our trainwreck of a house. Yelled at the kids, made them clean too... wife was at work. Took daughter to tennis (where she pitched a fit and told the teacher that she was a football player and that tennis sucked) and shot hoops with the boy. Took kids to Waffle House and ordered my keto specialty: 3 egg texas cheese steak omlet with bacon, peppers, and hotsawse. Went on the boat and caught a 21" jackfish (pike? pickerell?) and a small bass. Threw them back. I've only caught 3 or so jackfish in my life on Lake Murray. Always a suprise. Bush-hogged the yard and worked on leveling out the yard from my septic tank and drain field project a few months back. Got it looking realgood.gif.

Sunday wife worked again. Cleaned some more in the morning. Started disassembling the dakota, which has suspected blown head gasket. Decided it best to just pull the whole engine and put in a junkyard engine. I just need this thing to make little 2-5 mile trips once a week. I can pull a junker motor for about $200. Tohell with rebuilding the current engine with 250K miles.

Watched The Trial of the Chicago 7 last night. It was pretty good. Found a VR headset that my son had for his iphone that he never used. Discovered a VR section on pr0nhub. Game Changer. Like forreal game changer.

Mar 29, 2021, 8:23 AM

and my son is still sleeping so I will update

Friday - great dinner from our favorite Italian spot. I had a calzone the size of my head, wife had some kind of salmon something or other and kids had pizza. Got kids to bed and then watched some Drive to Survive as the wife likes it too.

Saturday - got up fed kids and then they went for a play date. I drove to town to get travel size stuff for trip. Stopped at a friends house and #### got real. (See other thread) Then I went home grabbed my son and we took off for the airport. Hobbling at airport isn’t fun. Lots of logistics to deal with. Got to Hilton Head, the place is freaking amazing.

Sunday- Palm Sunday. I miss being at my parents church for this Sunday. Means a lot to me. Anyway......we did beach, pool, beach, pool, lunch in Harbour Town, beach, pool, beach, pool, dinner at San Miguels in Shelter Cover. CRASHED

Monday - I son is still crashed. I am about to take a massive dump after eating all this terrible (but good) food. Then off to Pirates of HHI Cruise where I will likely be the only dad and I can look at hot moms while wearing sunglasses. Every year we do this and my son loves it, I will be bored to tears, so here we are again, but you know what, who cares, we only love once.

Peace to my people!
Let’s love each other.
Go forth and be merry!!

Friday night hammers. feelsgoodman.jpg

Saturday weather was amazing. Drove wife of to a garden place and took a leisurely drive through scenic New Jersey. Saw a late model 911 Turbo S, Ferrari F430, an Aston Martin Vantage, and a BMW Z8. We got an afternoon drink at a brewpub where we could sit outside.

Yesterday visited the outlaws, got to see most of the Bahrain grand prix, visited my brother and SIL briefly, and enjoyed staying inside while it rained.

Best of all I only logged into my work computer once. 8/10

Saturday: up early to Cootlumbia for a three match day. Baked in the warm sun, no sunscreen, because bad ###. Hit up Cribb's Sandwich and Sweet Shop on Lexington for lunch. Back at it in the afternoon. Saw that robertnewt sold his house over asking in record time.

Sunday: now THIS was a a day. Back to Cootlumbia, incident free for the first game. Second game, the heavens open and THANK GOD ALMIGHTY, the pollen washed off of everything. Jah bless. Hit up Publix by Lake Murray landing for some sub action. Headed home and no it's time for the GOOD STUFF: clemsonrulez08® #### his bed. FBCoachSC® thought that $1,000 is too much to pay someone to move him. Nope that stimmy money is going straight to buying his mother-in-law's home. stubborn_tiger® was a bit more than half-baked. Mar 29, 2021, 8:54 AM

Good trip down to Santa Rosa. 6.5 / 10. We'll definitely go back.

Weather was pretty meh, and I had to work Friday morning (which luckily was rainy), so didn't get to play golf or go fishing. Just mostly chilled by the beach with the wife, and we ate out more than normal, which was nice. Food was fantastic...surprising Nawlins influence that I just never figgered.

The little area we were in was pretty dope. Way different than the beaches I grew up going to. Major differences was everything seems brand new, and there's not very many marinas around until you get closer to Destin.

I personally think the Atlantic beaches and scenery are prettier, but that's probably the least important factor for us. I don't think it's worth the extra 2.5 - 3 hrs driving through ATL to get to my old stomping grounds as a kid, unless we are there for more than one week.

Santa Rosa was quiet, we could walk to food / booze, and most importantly we could walk to the beach, sit down, and be left alone. Beaches did seem a little small, so the peak weeks might be off the table for us. Seems like a good spot to take kids too...we were for sure the only people under 65 w/ no kids. I'd like to go again with more time and better weather for sure.

We did road trip it over to Destin proper Friday after I was done working. Hard pass on that area. Way too Gatlinburg-y for me. The only draw would be if you had a boat, and you had a place right on the bay where you could walk to your boat. There were far too many units piled on top of each other for that to be true for everyone.

Drive back wasn't bad at all...left early and was home by 3 (with a ~30 minute stop at Whataburger (#### YES) and a ~30 minute stop to pick up our dog from the in-laws).

We had no idea it stormed so bad here...flooding everywhere there's a creek it seems. Lake is bout full pull and the river's fixing to crest the 40' marker. If it keeps raining I think it could get a little (more for some peeps) dicey

Was the 12th overall male in the race but didn't even place in the old dudes division, but I'd have placed in every younger division. 5 of the top 12 (and 6 of the top 13) were 50-something. Old dudes can bring it.

decent sized and sit flat on a table are hard to come by, and you have to get some similarly sized ones. I have a set of 8 that we use for our "everyday" drinkware. The femurs and ribs of course come in handy and get snapped up pretty quickly, but you could pretty much have as much as you could carry of the rest of the bones and the innards.

Fri - CFA dinner while McJr had a friend spend the night. We watched Swiss Family Robinson.

"This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together. Disney is committed to creating stories with inspirational and aspirational themes that reflect the rich diversity of the human experience around the globe."

Sat - Played outside with kids all day. Dropped a lithium battery in kids ride on for all day power. Almost responsible for the severe injury of McJr's other 7 year old friend due to zipline brake malfunction (scary as #### at first) but she was actually just a little scraped and not hurt. Ride is closed for corrective maintenance.

Cooked some delicious ribeyes and had mashed sweet potatoes, brussell sprouts, and pretzel salad

Sun - Church in the morning, took Mcbrother fishing for 2 hrs after the storm moved out, back home and dyed Easter eggs with kids, dinner, the End
