LSU losing

2 big recruits today. rakim jarrett backed out and just chose Maryland.

Could just be 2 coincidences, but seems odd that a team on the rise drops two big time players.

I don't think you were indicating that they cut the players loose on purpose, but that certainly wasn't the case because one was a 5 star WR.

You are correct that they are still waiting on a couple of commitments.

Burrow deserved the Heisman, absolutely. Can't argue. Dude was on a different planet this year. He's got some good targets at WR to throw to, and he's got a good little try-hard back in that Edwards-Helaire who is pretty much what Rudy would have been if Rudy had any actual talent; for as tiny as he is, the dude's heart is bigger than he is and he can ball.

But aside from that...hit or miss. Their D has some players but it gave up huge chunks and huge point totals at times this past year...including 41 to Alabama, and another 38 - 38! - to Vanderbilt. (Vanderbilt!) And they aren't any great shakes up front, on either side of the ball.

Most of that is gone next year.
