Despite the NFL media's love affair with Lamar Jackson this season , he's still an average passer with accuracy issues that are covered up because of his sensational running and escape ability .
NFL will figure him out before the season starts next year ...or maybe even in the playoffs this year .

Trevor Lawrence is a great passer and an above average runner .

Jackson is the 3rd in the NFL in QB rating. He is a really good passer now. He leads the league in TD passes too. He has only thrown 6 ints all year. Tom Brady has thrown more. Jackson this year is one of the 5 best passing qb's in the league. He worked really hard in the offseason.

Some of you need to let the random hatred for non-Clemson players go once they get to the NFL. Jackson was just as dangerous as a runner last year, but struggled as a passer which is why they lost to LA in the playoffs. But that was last year. This year he's #3 in passer rating, #1 in QBR, leads the league in passing TDs, is #8 in completion % (while also being #8 in air yards per completion, and #19 in YAC meaning that he's not just throwing checkdowns), and is #4 in adjusted net yards per attempt which factors in interceptions and sacks. Now I wouldn't say he's one of the elite passers, but he's certainly in the 2nd tier and when you combine that with Vick-like running ability, you've basically got a cheat code at QB.

Never understood the hate for Lamar Jackson

He's always seemed like a nice guy--even said he would have voted for Deshaun for the Heisman if he had a vote. It's not his fault that Deshaun didn't win.

Lawrence plays on a great team. Jackson had to almost do it on his own. He would have won a lot of big games as our QB and not on the dumpster fire of Louisville.
