Just a thought about the Jumbo Package.

Not related to Trevor or even to Boston College, just a general thought.

Every since The Fridge made the jumbo package popular a few teams have used it. They use it exclusively on the goal line.

I have often had this thought: Why not use it on 2nd and 5 at midfield occasionally? Why not let the elephant have some fun busting through a line that isn't stacked inside?

I could see the big guy bowling over a LB and getting a 10 or 15 yard gain occasionally. And, I could see (remember it's second down and 5 or so) running a play action pass and finding a receiver running open down the field.

Not saying it should be a regular part of the offense, but wouldn't it be fun to see it run once or twice in the middle of the field, not just a goal line, a game?
