Clemson will not make the mistake, right now its just

an early trend, but as time goes by and more people sleep on this the tide will sway. Before a decision is made everyone is going to realize the only conferences for us are the ACC or SEC (which isn't happening), so we will stay put. I think in the end so will FSU, hopefully the ACC is going to give some concessions to the football schools. Let the Big East bleed out, and work up from #5. We EARNED #5, now we need to EARN a higher status conference by winning game (thats the conference as a whole not just Clemson).
Lets get Clemson, VT, GT, FSU, Miami, UNC all where they belong and make this a top notch league.
It just dosn't make sense to align with Iowa State, 2 Kansas schools, and a semi-broken conference that at this point is a huge unknown. Sure we like to think they will get GT and ND beyond us, but what if in reality they get BYU and Boise, thats two more schools even FURTHER away.
Relax, we are staying put. Nothing is going to happen, we have blogs sourcing blogs sourcing blogs and then unknown posters posting "sources", the fact is there is nothing sourced its all just rumors feedng rumors.

There is nothing FSU and Clemson can do to improve the ACC. The problem is that it has too many dead weight football programs that don't attract TV viewers. That's the big reason why the TV contract was so poor. Even if Clemson goes 14-0 they'll still be $20 million/year behind South Carolina in revenue.

vs. Home Depot. Sure Joe's is great but it can't compete with the selection and prices offered by Home Depot. Joe's will eventually close even though it's been in business for 40 years. Most of Joe's customers are now shopping at the bigger, better Home Depot. The Big 12 is Home Depot. Joe's is the ACC. Those that don't get this are like ostriches with their heads stuck in the sand.
