Is there a way to get our defensive calls in quicker?

I remember the SI preview a year or two ago in which an opposing coach (likely Doeren) stated that our defensive coaches steal the opposing offenses' signals and then make their calls based on the stolen signals. Have no idea if that's true (and even if it is, that's fine by me), but I still don't know why it takes so long for us to get our calls in, so much so that on many snaps (and not just talking about this past Saturday night) our defense is not set at all when the ball is snapped.

Now while all the potential playoff teams are no-huddle, other than Oklahoma, they don't run the up-tempo pace that Syracuse and South Carolina now run. So that should definitely help.

coaches are stupid.

if whoever clemson faces after the ACCCG doesn't run a hurry up offense, they are stupid.

I think stupid is a bit strong....LOL....but they are definitely missing out on a great opportunity to move the ball.....

Offense in a week, you’re vastly underestimating how hard coaching is. If it’s not something you do or practice, you can’t just immediately flip the switch to it.
