Apparently there is a provision in the CARES act that pays 50% credit to employers that do paid furloughs for their salaried workers up to a certain amount.

Translation, I'm getting a free week of paid vacation, potentially more.

Wife of got 2 weeks paid to her on Friday and was called Saturday and asked to come back to work next Monday. We gone be rich. (Well as long as inflation isn’t a real thing of course.)

But, it literally is giving me money not to work. I won't argue with it though since I don't even have to do paperwork and my same paycheck will continue to come.

### is a paid furlough? You’re being paid (full salary?) not to work? Why would any company do that? If you’re going to pay employees their salary, at least have them do inventory, clean, update standards, or a million other housekeeping tasks.

How do I get one of those?
