Actually, the rotorcrafts blades are the actual airfoils.

it a gentle push to the wall and rotate (Vr) at a nice gentle 58 mph. One can accomplish this quite easily even with Ace Hardware duct tape over the engine cover, dipstick cover, & any other hole/hatch that needs to stay closed. Just please do not cover the pitot tubular thingee.
The point is, it dont take much.

project was on Bernoulli's Principle and it's application to airfoils.
35rpm still isn't enough to lift a gatdam helicopter off the ground.

It was eclipsed by a kid named Reece who did "Which toilet in my house flushes faster---upstairs, or downstairs?"

let me ask you this. I should have been clearer. The instructors fought over which side of the airfoil created the lift. The high pressure or the low pressure. What say you? I still dont know the answer, juss knowthat it werks.
Also, flaps create an even longer airfoil surface. Ive seen arguments over this in that do the flaps create more lift or act as an airbrake or both. I think they act as both, allowing lower speeds/slow flight/lower stall speed

the fundamental principle that dictates a move to equilibrium, whether in a solution, or pressure, or whatever. If you mix highly salinated water with fresh water, they will move towards equilibrium and a consistent solution. Pressure works the same way, so if high pressure and low pressure are placed in proximity, they will move to equilibrium, all other factors constant. The air below the foil isn't high pressure (at least as I understand it), but it stays constant. The air above the foil is moving faster and thus creates lower pressure than below the foil (which again, isn't "high", it's just the same as it was before the wing hit it). The pressure below the foil pushes the wing up to fill the lower pressure space.
If that doesn't prove I'm not an engineer, I don't know what does.
