These are the only two coaches in NCAA football who have a winning record vs the coots in the last 4 seasons (given a minimum of 2 games played).
I think Clemson could get either one of these guys if Dabo left for a job that is considered better than Clemson.

On a serious note, for what we pay Offensive Coordinators, we could hire Patrino. Patrino's offenses are awesome. They are not B.S. gimmick offenses. I think Patrino would be a vast improvement over Morris. He could even bring his girlfriend for what I care.

He left the NFL in mid season and he had a young girlfriend. Many coaches have left jobs prematurely and many coaches have had affairs with students. Who cares?

A gimmick is something you can't run as a primary offense for seasons on end and be successful with (such as the Wildcat).
The spread offense is something that you can run for seasons on end and be extremely successful with.
Just because a team may stop it once in a while doesn't make it a gimmick. If it did, then EVERY offense is a gimmick, because no offense is successful 100 percent of the time.
Just because it isn't the 1980's where every team is running the old "3 yards and a cloud of dust" offense doesn't mean the spread is a gimmick.

I could not care less what kind of offense the old drunk ball coach runs. I would be happy if our offense worked in the big games. I'm sick of losing big games because our offense cant get going. I think you are a Coot because you obviously want us to keep losing big games.
