Why all this love for oklahoma? Yeah it was a good win but it wasn't what some think. Ohio st is overrated. I'm sry but it's just a fact. Ohio st was way over hyped and ranked too high to begin with. How can so many claim to know so much and not see this? I don't get it...

And it isn't just a few times, it's EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR.

BOTH those teams get hyped and hyped and hyped, week in and week out and then they get the absolute PI$$ beaten out of them by a good team (like Clemson!!!). Then the following year, with the SAME TEAM, they get hyped up all over again.

I agree. And I'm not saying it's easy to win there or that it's a bad win for Oklahoma but you'd think they just beat Alabama by 50. As soon as I saw all those people picking Ohio st to win it all this year, I knew instantly that was never gonna happen. I had zero faith in that.

They wanted for Ohio State to be the real deal (against all evidence to the contrary) and since The Sooners burst that bubble they are forced to "see" Oklahoma as the new real deal. And besides ... Baker Mayfield!

It's called prestige.


The name of their school garners the hype and attention I think it's baby back BS if you ask me. USC finally has a good season last year and they come in ranked top 5? BS


If Texas and ND was 2-0 right now they would be ranked top 10 because of their name.

I just don't get it why anybody could give a rip about the ratings in week 2 as long as we are not unrated...They mean nothing now, if anything the lack of respect will motivate them.
