I have to side with Desmond Howard on this one

Stats do not tell the whole story. A lot of our yardage has come off of big plays by #9.
I don’t have confidence that we can line up and get a yard on 4th and short against a good team....

The fact that TL has to throw with his right arm instead of being able to toss 40 yard TD's with his left hand is a problem.
If we're really as good as we think we are, it's not good enough that we have a way to accomplish a goal within a game, instead we should be able to do it every possible way.

I don't have a lot of confidence that you're an actual fan of Clemson .
Stats in fact do tell the story . You see they re statistics .... factual results of a series of things . If you have enough of them you can form a pretty good picture of what it is you're doing well ... or not doing well .

ETN busting off 60 and 70 yard touchdown runs doesn’t mean the offensive line was dominant.
We had 115 rushing yards against Texas A&M.

And how did Travis E. make those runs? I was there, and I swear I saw him running past Clemson’s offensive line before he broke into the secondary. Someone made holes on every one of his long runs. Clemson is very, very, very good at rushing the ball this year. Extremely good. Scary good.

Isn't one 70 yd touchdown run the same thing as 70 one yard runs ? In certain areas , a thing is a thing is a thing ... ya know ?

It seems to me that you’re ignoring the facts (statistics) that Adam Choice, Lyn J Dixon, and Feaster were ALL going through the same holes in the defense THAT OUR OFFENSIVE LINEMEN WERE OPENING with regularity.
GO AWAY!!!

Would you feel better if he ran 5 yards, took a knee, and then lined up and did it again?

Hey that's an idea. That would be somewhere between 15-18 play drives that could eat up about 10 minutes per drive and if we a get 3 and outs in between our opponent would only get about 12-16 plays tops. You're on to something!!

Clemson rushes the ball fine.

Any problems that I’ve seen with the offensive line have been on passing plays. And a lot of that could be chalked up to adjustments with freshman QB knowing his pocket and having a better internal clock.
Every running back on Clemson’s roster is a bruiser when they run. That in and of itself rules Clemson out as a “finesse” team. Heck even the receivers are willing to lower their shoulder and fight for extra yards. No “finesse” there either, in my opinion.

I’ll give you credit J, you’re quite the oddity. And consistent. I have been unable to determine if you’re truly a Clemson fan that enjoys playing devil’s advocate, or a troll that actually contributes money to troll.

Or I could just be a realistic fan that doesn’t get butthurt every time an analyst says something that isn’t 100% pro Clemson.
You go down to the wire with Syracuse and people are not going to be showering you with praise.

Sadly the people on this site are more like the feminist protesting Kavanaugh. They can't have a logical conversation about the presented facts.
Until the oline can play smash mouth football against top teams we will always be a finesse team. But at the end of the day, "Just win, Baby"

Did you notice that TL operated under center on short yardage, with ETN lined up behind. We haven't seen that in a while.
Enjoy the ride.
