I think this will light a fire under them for the rest of the season. Nobody else we play is as talented as FSU and the D line will start to have some success. Goodman and Crawford still have a lot of upside

Still don't get why we didn't switch back to a 4-3 bot i definitely want to see Cortez Davis and Lateek Townsend getting more playing time. Breeland is a stud and needs some of the other younger DBs to step up

I have faith the coaches will make some changes with different players. If not, then same ole same ole won't cut it. The young excuse doesn't fly with Hall. He is 3 year starter that still doesn't use his legs to tackle.
As for better D's, USC got a good one again.

It would take a stellar D to overcome what we saw at Doak

The kicking game put the defence in bad situations .

The offence went 3 and out and it killed the defence.

We scored for 2 plus quarters but the offence was stopped and the D wore out .

Its that simple , Some long 8 or 9 play drives would have done the same to FSU .

Didn't go back to 4-3 becuase we got no pash rush

Venables decided to go to a 3-4 to drop as many people back as he could to try and confuse/limit Manuel. it still didn't work because guys ended up covering dirt and let FSU players find open voids in the field for big gains.

motivation and effort. Our problems are about fundamentals and technique... things you teach/work on in the off-season. Mid season is NOT the time to be working on these things.
