School gains zero by firing a coach midseason. There are only 4 games left in the season. Just play it out and go coach searching after the season is over

Disagree....it's starts with getting alums and fans onboard

Right now they are jumping ship and pulling support for the university. Firing the coach shows them that change is coming instead of letting them stew in their anger.

Don't think they can do anything until the following year. They will be able to right the ship a little bit after all the money going out to the basketball program. Just don't think there are enough big money football donors at UL right now to be able to swing this kind of money. They spent a ton on the stadium if I am not mistaken as well so just doubt there is enough left over to spend at least 20 million when you consider the buyout and buying out the new coaches contract as well. Purdue should put a hefty buyout on Brohm's contract to make it even more difficult on Louisville.

How are they going to afford $14m without Adidas writing the checks? Ask Papa Jo... oh wait. nevermind.

I think next year is going to have fantastic prices for Clemson Alums living in Kentucky to see their tigers.

Realistically, he is a winning coach (.687). Slimeball yes, unethical, yes, prone to use players and lie... yes. But he can win on occasion and keep programs at or above 8 wins. This will be his second losing season since his first at Arky.

The next question is this: what coach could they get that was better than what they got? No halfway sane coach or even Doeren would consider the "L" with likely NCAA issues (hey, its looserville), toxic culture, and a black stain of a reputation. Looserville seehatted the bed so much that Kentucky is a winning program.

That being said, I bet all of the assistants are fired or likely fired and replaced by former volleyball players.

They're still paying John Schnatter's buyout***
