Honest question ...

Jan 6, 2020, 12:33 PM

Do other ACC schools live vicariously through us the way the other $EC teams live vicariously through UAla and LSU?

None that I know of.

No Clemson fan would ever root for UNC in basketball***

I agree 100%. However, this was more geared towards

football.

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

The $EC circle jerk club is very entertaining...

Jan 6, 2020, 12:37 PM

Sad and pathetic, but entertaining none-the-less

Don’t know - 1989 ... but I would bet we come up a lot when fans of other ACC schools get in arguments with fans of said SEC schools !! -<img border=">

If people were as good as their obituary - and products were as good as advertised - this would truly be a wonderful world !!

Several Duke and UNC fans on my wife's side, and my dad is an NC State grad (but says he doesn't care about them anymore after three sons went to Clemson), and countless other ACC friends...and I haven't met a one that is pulling for Clemson.

I do not root for the ACC

Jan 6, 2020, 12:54 PM

The ACC is a collection of separate athletic programs. I am a Clemson supporter. I get no satisfaction out of the performance of other schools in the ACC. I think most older Clemson fans are more or less like me.

For the last decade or two the SEC has encouraged fans to be supporters of that league. Because of this silliness, I hope the SEC loses every out of conference game in every sport.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I root for overall success of the ACC only from the aspect

Jan 6, 2020, 1:17 PM

that it indirectly helps CLEMSON. Very seldom do I root for other teams. Occasionally there is a human interest story that will cause me to root for an individual player on another team, but certainly I would never blindly wave the conference banner as most SEC fans seem to do in that conference.

You could call it brainwashing, but then you would have to admit that some of them have a brain. I make no such concession. :)
