Having to work from upstairs

is really nice. At beginning of COVID we had moved my office downstairs due to the kids being home and we made the office a 100% play room.
Now since my leg is broken, I am working from the dining room table and the couch. The sunshine is amazing. Ha!
All the neighbors that are visible from here, 3 houses in total from this window, they are all 65+ years old.
They constantly come and go. Like constant. Wife is leaving and then husband does, then they come back and leave together...then a few hours later they are leaving again.
Where the heck are they going all the time? They leave their house more than I do. Running prescription drugs? Old person daytime swingers? The one dude drives his freaking Porsche up and down the street right after the salt truck, he gives zero #####.
This is all consuming me.

my one neighbor lost his wife about 2 years ago. He instantly went from clean cut nice looking old man to this guy in about 6 months.

Unless you enjoy watching a former Miss SC contestant on her hands and knees. Planting stuff. No lawn, all garden. Lots of work. Knowing how much work she is saving him, an older guy would occasionally come out and give her a pat on the head.
There is a pizza oven on the back patio, and you would be instructed to look for the smoke, this being the only other sign of life in the house, and having seen it to grab a bottle of wine or beer and come over.
Other than that, nothing.

and drink Stella as that is his beer of choice. He has a bell and if he rings it, I know he is out there and if I dont show up in just a couple of minutes, he is on his own. Its a nice little summertime setup. He knows that we are busy with kids and such and he refuses to text, so he got the bell.

Do you live in TN? B/c the neighbors across the street fit this profile. I thought they flew south for the winter...nope...sure as ####, old gal was out front yestidee getting her garden tuned up.
Once you get above 35, I'm not good w/ guessing ages. They're definitely somewhere between 55 - 75 though

No need to combine errands. Since the kids are back at school, my wife goes grocery shopping 4x a week now hitting a different store for different items. It's the strangest thing watching someone struggle to fill up their day.
On the plus side, our house is spotless when I come home, and she's been cooking more. Wife mode 2.0 activated.
