They aren't playing him cause he doesn't know the play book

that is on him, you can't afford to get burned on a play cause he doesn't know the plays. Don't blame the coaches for him not taking time to study the play book

He recovered the onside kick that Furman tried.He was the only Tiger in the pile with 4 furman players on him and came out with the ball.

he tends to play a little too reckless for BV's liking. He still needs to learn discipline to play LB in BV's scheme.

I still think they should have redshirted him last year.

He is the one guy that I really think we need on the field and that is just my opinion. They talked him up so much in the start of practice. I believe it was even said then by Venables.... that he would rather have a player who is over aggressive and make some mistakes, than someone who is constantly playing too conservative.

Townsend brings that to the table. If we are talking about getting burned for not knowing the playbook, what about those who are getting burned who do know the playbook?

I love this coaching staff and I feel sure they are putting the best players on the field, but this is the one guy I think needs to be out there. Even if he doesn't get to hit the guy with the ball, he will be hitting someone on every play....
