If they are smart they would leave that Big12 area and go to a school or conference that can actually play some defense...get themselves some exposure.

I have a feeling this 18 class will change that we got chalk from Texas but I have def noticed we are starting to offer some big time players from Texas. Really hope we get Muhammad this year for our TE commit this year he's a stud. Love that our recruiting footprint is growing like this title will do that baby! Building a dynasty Go Tigers!!

That recruit footprint spreads after winning a National Championship. It was happening after we won in 1981, until the administration decided to shoot themselves in the foot.

I really don't think I like this strategy. I'd rather focus recruiting resources on the east coast and in the south, where we have more of a presence.

Texas has always been a difficult place to pull kids from, and now there is more competition than ever before. Tom Herman is building something special and has really focused hard on recruiting at Texas. With UT in the top tier of choices for recruits you have A&M, TCU, and Oklahoma. After that you have the big name programs that are closer and have built up a presence like Ohio State, LSU, and Bama. That's a real uphill climb for Clemson.

I don't blame us going after some of these guys, Cook and Muhammad are top of my wish list, but it's highly unlikely...
