Great list! I have been wanting to watch Minority Report I have not seen it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Great Sci-fi movie if you're into that kind of genre....

Feb 6, 2018, 5:37 PM

Thanks!

Minority Report is great, I loved it back when I first saw it as a young teenager. I've never been a Tom Cruise fan, but this was back when he was a halfway decent actor and could still be taken seriously. Plus, I've always been a Spielberg fan

I probably re-watch it once a year.

Yea I am not big on him either but he was great in collateral. I have heard great things about MR tho thanks I will have to watch soon. Most Spielberg movies are wonderful that is for sure. I really like he, Nolan, and Tarantino.

Re: Favorite Movie

Feb 6, 2018, 6:30 PM

Five faves that stand out... no particular order / genre...

Star Wars (1977)
Easy Rider (1969)
Groundhog Day (1993)
The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
The Deer Hunter (1978)

Bonus movie:
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - literally from the opening second to the last credit there wasn't a dull or non-entertaining moment. Don't know that I've ever experienced that from a film before.

Re: Favorite Movie

Feb 6, 2018, 6:44 PM

Member the scene in the diner where a waitress drops a tray of dishes and glasses and that patron says " just put that anywhere " .
Well , since 1993 I haven't been able to see or hear something dropped and not say it out loud . I can't stop . I want to , but I can't .
I've many battles to go I'm afraid , and I just know the moment that I mentally realize that I have dropped that bad habit I will say " just put that anywhere " and the cycle will have refreshed .

Groundhogs Day is making it's own Groundhogs Days .

Feb 6, 2018, 7:12 PM

ago. It was about 1am when it was wrapping up though and as soon as the final "The End" panel popped up the projectionist just immediately turned it off and struck the lights without letting it play through its final notes and fade out. "I understand you have taken exception to my calling you ######. I'm sorry. I apologize. I ask you to note that I did not call you callous-ass strumpets, fornicatresses, or low-born gutter #####. But I did say "######." No escaping that. And for that slip of the tongue, I apologize."
