Rushing yards probably aren't as high, but passing is probably on par or higher than last season.***

Comparing this year with first 8 games of last year

389 more passing yards this year
55 less rushing yards this yard
3 more INTs this year

Last season the last 5 games including the ACCCG Watson threw for 1,576 with 4 INTs and had 501 rushing yards.

2015 thru 8 games:
Pass 1936 yds 20 tds 7 int
rush 386 yds 4 tds

2016 thru 8 games:
pass 2328 tds 22 tds 10 int
rush 331 yds 1 td


*** he had 5 100 yd rush games in the final 7 games last season. That will be extremely difficult to repeat.

If there is no need to. Gut tells me of course that in order to win in the CFP, he will be required to do so.

Teams have learned just how dangerous he can be with the ball in his hands so it shouldn't be surprise that his rushing numbers are down and passing are up along with int's. Defenses are containing him and forcing him to throw the ball which is kinda like pick your poison.
