The Bentley "injury" sure is suspicious

Sep 2, 2019, 5:23 PM

no limp, etc after the game. Nothing until 48 hours later? Doesn't add up. Now he has a broken foot after his dismal performance and a loss to a team they almost had guaranteed a win?? I'm thinking cockflop to save face for him and Muschamp and get the Hilinski era started for the Coots. Bentley will never start another game for the Coots.

he won’t go 0-4 as a starter against Clemson. Get out while you can.

Hope it (the faking an injury part) is not true.

Footgae on the News shows him not limping after the game. He might have just had enough of them Chicken fans.

Agreed, in this case I hope the young man has a broken foot. At least that’s an injury that’s easier to heal.

If I had to guess, it was probably something he had already been dealing with and could play through, and they’re now using that as a way to save face for a guy who has started for the last 3 years.

They had to call it a broken foot. Doesn't look good if you say your starting QB has a broken virginia.

Heard on Kornblut’s radio show that Bentley may have broken his foot after game by kicking his locker.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Can you imagine, if Bentley broke his foot kicking a locker.

Sep 2, 2019, 9:09 PM

what was going through Feasters mind as he watched that one play out...

Sep 2, 2019, 9:24 PM

go to the UofSC pro day? That’ll be interesting to see, considering nobody goes to UofSC pro day.

Yup.

I felt bad for Feaster. Golden opportunity to be a difference-maker during that last 5 minutes: only down one score, lots of time, all 3 timeouts, you're good catching the ball out of the backfield and picking up blitzes.....but nope.

The last 17 plays Feaster never touched the ball. They also went for 8 total yards, with 2 punts and 2 turnovers as the coaches put the game in Jakey's hands.

Maybe Hilinski will be smart enough to use his playmakers more.

If he broke his foot, it was after the game.

Methinks Moosedump doesn't have balls to bench him so the injury appears.

Re: The Bentley "injury" sure is suspicious

I heard something on the radio today about the injury being self-inflicted after he kicked something. Not sure when it was supposed to have happened, but that would explain why he seemed fine immediately after the game.

If it's true that he really does have a significant injury, that's probably the best thing that could happen to USCjr because Muschamp doesn't have the testicular fortitude to bench Bentley because his daddy is a coach. Considering Bentley's career highlight after 33 starts is a 21 point beatdown by his biggest rival, I'm not sure why they have stuck with him for this long. I don't remember the names, but I think that they have 1 or 2 other QBs that were highly recruited. Can't do any worse than Bentley's final 3 drives against UNC that went INT, INT, and sack/fumble.

Wonder how much longer Muschamp can last in Columbia? He would probably be gone this year if not for his large buyout.

It would cost over 20 million to buy out Moosedumps contract. He is not going anywhere.
