Dabo gets 8 yr. new contract

That's through 2021. He gets $3.15 Mil. in year 1 with escalation and bonus clauses for the future. There is a $5 Mil. buyout clause should he decide to leave in the first 3 years. It diminishes over the final 5 years of the contract.

As mentioned earlier, Morris and Venables will be with us at least another year, unless something completely unexpected happens. With the filling of the vandy HC job, that appears very unlikely.

Regardless, it is hard to leave Clemson. There is really something in those hills!

even harder to leave when no one else wants you

why pay a premium for a coach that most D1 programs would pass on?

Don't be so negative, Dabo is one of the better coaches. Frank Howard, Charlie Pell, Hootie Ingram, Tommy Bowden.
