Consider Giving Blood Tommorrow

It is the day before Labor Day weekend and the start of college football. There will be numerous parties, lots of drinking and lots of accidents. You will never know whose life you saved but you will know that you saved someone's.

95% of people need blood in their lifetime but only 5% give blood regularly.

not sure I buy that 95% number

I only know a couple people throughout my lifetime that have needed blood.

I am a somewhat spotty, but semi-regular donor (B+)

From Bloodsource.org:
"Today, more than one in seven people entering a hospital for care will need blood. By the time you reach age 72, you could be one of 95 percent of all Americans who will have been treated with blood or a blood component."

Perhaps you need to live until you are at least 72 to be in the 95%, but were splitting hairs.

Glad to hear that you give. It is a wonderful thing to do.
