Is it fair to compare Clemson's win vs Wake to ND's?

Why it is almost a perfect scenario comparison.

Both teams were coming off of scares vs inferior opponents.
Both teams were going through a recent QB change with internal controversy.
Both teams had nearly identical weather and fan support at BB&T field.

Seems that head to head, you would have to have Clemson favored.

Clemson played many more players and had 4th stringers scoring TDs too! I don't see why they wouldn't compare as head to head competition is a "factor" according to the committee.

Both Notre Dame and Clemson won big at Wake Forest, running up big point totals on offense and proving the Wake Forest defense was outmanned in both games.

But the ND defense gave up 31 points to WF and could not get Wake off the the field. The Clemson defense was never threatened or much troubled by the Wake Forest offense.

My comparison is that ND and Clemson offensively might be similar. The Clemson Defense is much better than the ND defense.
