Installed one 15 years ago.

If you have kids and will be in the house for a while, definitely make the investment.

I have spent many hours playing basketball in the driveway with my kids and they spent many more hours playing with their friends.

It has taken some abuse but its' still in good shape.

Be sure to do the foundation right. Make sure the bolts will not be in standing water.

Yes, I do. And yes, it is IMO.

I bought mine ~11 years ago I think, and it is still like new. My favorite part of having it is destroying my son in games of horse, 1-on-1 and around the world in the driveway. There's nothing like getting a solid block on a 10-year old where you send the ball into the neighbors yard. You just have to remember to give the kid the Mutombo finger wave after it.

Nice! I actually bought mine when my son was born

and I would go out and shoot hoops in the driveway a lot. Then when he got old enough to shoot with me it became our thing to do. We've made a lot of memories in the driveway with that hoop.

They say the days are long but the years are short, and it's true.

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

Well worth the money if you will be there a while or if your kids really enjoy basketball. Like another poster said I have had many hours of play with my son and his friends. Its just a much better goal so playing is more fun. Installing it is a pain, I think i dug a hole 60"+ deep and 20" on a side and probably used 20+ bags of concrete to fill it. It took three of us to mount the backboard but it has been worth it.

Have had ours for 2 years. Still looks great and is in good shape. I won’t take it when we move so as others have said, stay for awhile if you decide to invest.

Yes, great in-ground hoop system. I put the 60' backboard(54' too small, 72' too big) in over 15 years ago. Very easy to use the hand crank, can take it down to 6 or 7 feet and put back to 10' in seconds. The backboard is very sturdy, not flimsy like a lot of outdoor systems. You'll have to dig a fairly deep hole and use plenty of cement if putting the pole in yourself. Enjoy!

It will last so long that....

Oct 10, 2019, 3:14 PM

...one day you will be in the driveway with the basketball looking up at the goal,
but there is no one to play with because your kids are gone off to college, married, etc.

That's me.
