Anybody ever seen targeting called...

On a non helmet-to-helmet...and if so, have you seen it twice...(no, you haven't). And we saw it in the national championship game just because a little guy got splattered in a regular football play

That was the definition of targeting. Jamie led with the crown of his helmet. That is how you get a broken neck. Part of the purpose of the rule is to help protect defensive players too.

You will never see another targeting ejection on a hit to the shoulder. Ever. If crown is only part of the definition that matters there were at least 4 others in the game before that. Hate it happened.

.... "targeting" calls against lsu. It was the correct call but I think everyone wants consistency on that rule but we just don't see it.

I'm curious if anyone gets called for targeting if the crown of the helmet hits a hand or foot or elbow etc.
