restructure his contract and possibly make assistant coaching changes. Smh I think more than this is needed.

The buyout for next year is coming down and I believe 2 assistants are asked to move on. I'm not sure Brad does it. Still can see a negotiated resignation ala Bowden

i put little to no credence in that. 1) why would he restructure his contract. what's in that for him?
2) maybe there are examples of coaches who were forced to fire assts and went on to success at that same school, but i can't think of any
certainly those type of "demands' could be used to try and force a coach's hand, but again.. if the coach holds his ground and is fired.. he gets his buyout. the assts are out either way.

So if he is asked to restructure his contract, does that not make him a "dead man walking" and our already suspect recruiting will get even worse?
The worst possible decision from DRad would be a half measure. Either get behind him 100% or get rid of him.

That would make sense if Brownell wanted to stay, but the underlying question is how much was asked and is Brownell going to be willing to do what was asked? If the price is to steep we might see a lateral move to another job instead.
Another thought crossed my mind in the midst of driving to the upstate for a birthday gathering. Is DRad still waiting on a particular candidate still in the tourney before actually forcing the issue? Much remains to be heard and then understood.
I will try to understand whatever the decision is toward Brownell, but he cannot feel entirely "comfortable" by the rumors surrounding the program.

Based on the info of another site if true. Drad maybe backing BB into a corner. Restructure or resign. BB could easily say I'll take my 3.5 and walk. Getting interesting.
