8 team playoff

See a lot in favor of this with conf champs auto in with a few at large. I think it would be terrible, making non conference matchups that have largely benefited us irrelevant. I'd like to schedule ugay//sc every year but have enjoyed auburn and soon a&m type games. Would encourage 4 ooc cupcakes to only focus on acc games making season not nearly as exciting

Fork at larges.

They don't do big time ooc games to boost sos...they do it for $$$$. Coaches already hate them but have to deal with it.

It would be redundant to have 8 team playoff IF you keep Conference Championship games. Too much possibility for the rematches of teams that just played or even playing for the 3rd time in some cases. 4 is right. Conference championships are huge this year. 6 of the 8 have assurance of getting to the playoff if they win. The two others have outside chances IF they win. This is how it should be

the three wildcards could be anyone, so OOC wins matter A LOT...say we lose the conf, but have a quality win over Auburn of Ga...that still helps us. Plus, you have room for someone like UCF who stand no chance at all short of a perfect season
